As with all Kelderman lift kits, the front and rear suspensions are based off the durable Kelderman 4 link design.   By removing the factory springs and installing the air suspension, not only do you get adjustable lift, you also get the smoothest ride in the industry. The accu air control system, allows for 4 corner electronic auto leveling, has 3 programmable ride heights, and wireless remote control.  The kit uses custom built remote reservoir shocks by Sway a way. The 10” Kelderman lift kit allows the use of massive 40” tires.  This system is currently available for 2010 and newer Dodge 2500 & 3500’s.

During the 2009 SEMA Show, the world’s largest automotive trade show that represents a $32 Billion a year industry, Rampage Jackson visited the Kelderman booth.  “I fell in love with the unique adjustability of their trucks, where you just push a button and are either riding eye ball to eye ball with semi drivers, or so low to the ground you can easily help your lady into the passenger seat,” said Jackson.

Rampage Jackson, former UFC Light-Heavyweight title holder, who is playing the role of the new B.A. Baracus in the upcoming June 11 release of 20th Century Fox’s, “THE A TEAM,” recently spent the day at the Kelderman plant to retrieve his fully outfitted Ford Super Duty.  “When you’re doing a truck for Rampage, it has to make a statement,” said Jeff Kelderman, Vice President of Kelderman Air Ride. “We installed one of our 10-12″ fully-adjustable air suspension lift kits complete with Kelderman private label shocks, AccuAir air management with TouchPad interface control and all of the whistles and bells.  We custom made some one-off parts specifically for Rampage to make his truck unique.”

“As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was take the kids for an outing in what they excitedly screamed was the coolest ride ever,” continued Jackson.

Rampage was impressed by the transformation of his Super Duty and is in negotiations for Kelderman to build him an A-Team van, as a replica to the original GMC van driven in the series, but with a Kelderman twist.  As part of the partnership Jackson will be “the prize” for a sweepstakes that Kelderman will promote.

The promotion will call for contestants to visit the Kelderman website to enter the promotion.  The promotion prize package includes the opportunity to fly out to California and drive the finished A-Team van to Rampage’s home, deliver it, and ride along on his first test drive of the new vehicle. The winner will then attend a dinner that evening with Rampage Jackson, Vice President of Kelderman Air Ride, Jeff Kelderman, and Toyo Tire’s Manager of Events and Motorsports, Stan Chen.  More details will be released on www.keldermanairride.com.

In the 1970s, Gary was dominant in the Tri-State Truck Pullers Association modified class, winning the championship all three years with his Hemi-powered pulling rig, which was nothing short of an “engineering masterpiece.” What started out in Gary’s one-stall “hot rod” shop, has grown into a 30-acre, 100,000 square ft manufacturing facility. Today they are considered a leading supplier of innovative products to the agricultural industry including corn planter hinge kits, planter tools, marker systems for John Deere planters, hay raking equipment and Corn Reels.  The company has changed and evolved considerably over the past 40 years and is known and respected for its diverse products offerings.

Two decades after its inception, Kelderman Air Ride came into existence when Gary bought a new Dodge Cummins diesel.  Unhappy with the ride, Gary put his mechanical mind to work and developed the first Kelderman Air Ride Suspension System.  It didn’t take too long for the news to travel. Practically over night, Dodge trucks all across the country were riding on air.  Today, Kelderman provides systems for Ford and Chevrolet vehicles as well as Dodge, and has had 48 magazine features and dozens of television editorial stories covering their amazing air ride kits.  Many Nascar racers and Sports celebrities are the proud owners of tricked out Kelderman rides.

Motorcoach platforms such as the F-53 (Ford) and Workhorse (GM) have become very popular, as well as 5^th wheel and bumper pull trailers with leaf spring or torsion axle suspensions.  Everything from RVs, to horse trailers and race trailers can be up-fitted with an air suspension that improves the ride as well as increases the longevity of the equipment.  In recent years, the company has engineered air suspension lift kits for ¾ and 1-ton domestic trucks that offer a fully adjustable lifted look while providing a smoother ride that does not sacrifice load-carrying capacity.  The adjustability of the kit not only allows the truck to be lowered to fit easily into a garage, but makes it easier to “climb” in and out of.  Once again, leading the way in innovation, Kelderman is the only company in the off road market to offer this type of system.

Photo of Gary Kelderman’s pulling rig in 1975.  Very few vehicles have ever been built in any racing series tht struck as much fear in the hearts of the competition as the sight of Gary pulling into events with this engineering masterpiece.  Three years of competing, three series championships.

Kelderman Manufacturing was chosen to hand build this manure applicaator in 1984 for Karle & Sons out of Crawfordsville, IN.  This unit is still in operation and still is one of the biggest and baddest units ever built.

The Kelderman air suspension kit with optional electronic air management system is a high quality bolt-in system that replaces the factory rear coil springs with Firestone air springs.  This kit maintains the smooth factory ride while increasing the load-carrying capacity, as well as preventing the truck from “sagging” in the rear.

At a full stop, the electronic control system drops 4” in the rear.  This allows for easier loading and unloading capabilities.

The kit includes rear air springs, upper and lower air spring mounts, and all mounting hardware.  The optional electronic air management system contains all necessary wiring and hardware, sensors, a 12-volt air compressor mounted in a weather-resistant box and computerized in-cab controls that will raise and lower the truck with the push of a switch.  The complete system, including the electronic air management system retails for $2,099.  Manual controlled kits start at $899.
