Lightning Strikes the TKO 5-Speed with White Lightning Revolution from American Powertrain

The White Lightning Revolution™ shifter mechanism from American Powertrain™ pumps up the voltage for the TREMEC® TKO 5-Speed with quick throws, over 60 shift positions and adjustable centering bias in an incredibly small package.

The Revolution has an eight-way adjustable offset, available in two lengths, covering a full 64 shift positions including most stock 4-speed and custom console locations for GM, Ford and Mopar.

White Lightning shifters feature AP’s RevLok™ system that locks the offset in place, and independent adjustable centering springs allow the customer to tailor shift feel to taste in seconds and insures lightning quick 2-3 shift action. This unique shifter has billet construction throughout with a two-piece aluminum body and a weighted billet steel shifter core providing excellent feedback and durability at the limit. Grade8 countersunk fasteners and the lowest profile of any TKO shifter insure excellent clearance for the tightest shift humps.

The White Lightning Revolution is available in American Powertrain ProFit transmission kits or can be purchased separately for any existing TKO500 or TKO600 transmission. Prices are set at $299.

American Powertrain is proud to introduce the Science Friction™ Atomic Twin™ dual disc clutch system for all Big3 V8 applications with up to 1095ft-lbs of rear wheel torque.

Unlike most race bred twin disc clutches, the Atomic Twin features progressive engagement, clamping the first disc a split second before the second, soaking up shock load that can damage transmissions and curing the “on-off switch” feel of other twins.

Easy to install, these race balanced clutch systems are pre-shimmed and guaranteed parallel with no need for tedious measuring. Stack-up height is similar to single disc clutches, making clutch actuation set-up a breeze.

Science Friction Atomic Twin clutches feature a low-flex formed cover with a stock pedal feel coupled to twin Organix™ or Ceramix™ discs with a cryo-hardened billet floater and coupled to your choice of a billet steel or billet aluminum flywheel. Race grade-8 pressure plate and flywheel bolts are included in every kit. Ford 10-spline x 1-1/16” and GM 26 and 10-spline x 1-1/8” discs are available now with Mopar 18 and 23-spline on the way.

The new TREMEC™ Magnum™ 6-Speed is a phenomenal gearbox, with a 700ft-lb rating out of the box and huge bang for the buck. Until now, however, the GM spec Magnum has only been available for use with hydraulic clutch linkage and a conversion bell housing, driving up cost and installation complexity.

With MagLink™ by American Powertrain, customers can retain their OE Muncie or T10 bell housing and mechanical clutch linkage with no modifications, saving them more than $700 and simplifying installation. MagLink can even be used with the stock throw-out bearing.

Cookeville, TN (January 29, 2010)… After many requests from owners and builders, American Powertrain and Precision Billet Concepts are proud to introduce bolt-in billet aluminum pedals for 1967-81 Camaros and Firebirds at a price point hundreds of dollars below other offerings.

Machined from pure billet aluminum, these beautiful pedals are designed to bolt-in with no modifications to your existing pedal box. All hardware is stainless steel while cheap OE nylon bushings are replaced with machined bronze. The pedal pads are machined using a special PBC buffing process that provides tons of grip, even when wet, so none of the fine details are covered up with rubber pads.

These pedals work with existing clutch and brake rods, and are compatible with American Powertrains HYDRAMAX hydraulic systems as well. Clutch, brake, accelerator and e-brake pedals are all available.

Prices start at $329 for the clutch and brake pedal set, $179 for automatic brake pedal, only and $49 for the matching go pedal. All pedals are OE spec and model specific.
