Maremont Receives P.E.A.K. Award from Loudon County Economic Development Agency

Maremont®, the leader in aftermarket exhaust recently received the P.E.A.K. Award from the Loudon County Economic Development Agency. The P.E.A.K. award recognizes companies that excel at performance, corporate social responsibility, innovation, and contribute to making the Loudon County community a better place to live and work. P.E.A.K. stands for Performance, Excellence, Achievement, Knowledge/Innovation. On hand when the award was presented were leaders of other companies in the County, and representatives from various city, county and state organizations.

Maremont’s award is a direct result of the following achievements during the 2009 year: In a tough economy when many businesses were downsizing or going out of business, Maremont added over 100 permanent jobs, which include both hourly and professional positions. New equipment and manufacturing processes were also added. A new Accessory and Hardware line was launched under the nostalgic and well recognized performance Cherry Bomb® brand. Their catalytic Converter product line experienced expanded coverage, and is also being marketed under the Cherry Bomb brand.  New business in the Ford® O.E.S. product line has been added as well.

At the local level, Maremont’s involvement in civic and charitable organizations has increased, as have charitable donations including donations to schools, parks, and local community events.
